This is what summer looks like now in Phnom Penh.

Experts say this is climate change. Oh well... As long as it doesn't snow here yet, then I'll be ok.
This is the wedding ceremony of my landlord's daughter. A traditional Khmer wedding ceremony is usually done over a 3day period. Nowadays, however, the ceremony is cut down to two days. Despite the shortened ceremony, it still is rife with rituals, elaborate costume changes not only of the bride but also of the groom and their attendants, and relatives, as well as the festive atmosphere and sumptuous feasts.
... is that doggy on the window? Arf! Arf!
You are always in my mind!

Oh, and the sister of the bride, too!Traditionally, Khmer weddings last for three days and are done at the bride's home. Nowadays, the ceremony is shortened to only one day. Our landlord's daughter's wedding, however, was held for two days (may kaya sila). Despite the shortened ceremony, it is still rife with elaborate rituals, costume changes (not only of the bride but also of the groom, their attendants, and their parents), and not to forget the food and merry-making! Professional women broadcasters and documentary makers will gather in Cambodia shortly to examine the portrayal of women and their practical involvement in media. The International Association of Women in Radio and Television (IAWRT) will be holding its 33rd Biennial Conference in Phnom Penh from 17-21 November 2009. This year’s conference will be based on the two media strategic objectives of the Beijing Declaration and Plan for Action, which marks its 15th Anniversary in 2010.

I think the climate has been changing ever since there was a climate.
So, I'm just enjoying it.

We could use some of that rain. If you have any extra, how about blowing it out across the Pacific to us!

Pamela, yes, that's the best thing we can do -- just sit back and enjoy it. I have to admit I also complain when it gets very hot :)
I love the rain and playing in the rain, Lori... as long as there are no lightnings and thunders!
Jams, am looking forward to WWing again!@ Thanks :)
Dora, we've pretty much stocked up on paracetamol and flu meds. But I guess warm lemonade will beat the cold rain and blues.
Yeah, crazy weather, we can't enjoy sunny days though the rain is a welcome relief too :)
